I'm not even halfway through reading 'Between the Hips' and my mind has already been blown. Pelvic health material can be complicated but Rorabeck presents the information in a digestable organized and life-applicable way. Her approach is both holistic and evidence informed. I've had some major 'ah ha' moments while reading Between the Hips. This information should be part of standard health education! I've recommended her book to all of the women in my family. Also many chapters are applicable to men and womens, partcularly the chapter on GI health. I dont know the author besides having heard her provide a talk after a local womens group cycling event. She totally opened my eyes to my lack of knoweldge about appropriate care of my female parts! Paradigm shift! Thank you for your passion and work Megan Rorabeck. Well done.
Coming from a mama who suffered 4th degree tearing during delivery of my little girl, this book is written so well and helped me understand the science of what happened and useful tips on how to recover and strengthen my pelvic floor. I do want to note you don’t have to have given birth to relate to this book. Dr. Rorabeck discusses bladder, bowels, sex, and vagina in a fun and comprehensive way. 10/10 recommend if you have a vagina or want to learn more about one!
